Passing your Chains
Many times you realize you need to practice what you preach. We've all heard the expression, especially in this "Christian walk". One thing that I have emphasized so much to friends of mine walking this line, is that it can never be done alone. To think, act, love and talk like Jesus is a goal that should be shared. The disciplines to get there should be shared. For those that have someone in their life that will fight for this, a blessing it is. But it's still a constant battle. We all have chains that are tying us up from being intentional. Time passes by and we forget to share our lives. We have relationships, work, responsibilities that all distract us from our ultimate goals. This fine line we walk isn't done alone. To break through the chains we must pass them along to those that you trust and that will help you break them. You can't do it alone. Jesus didn't walk this earth alone, neither should we. Our chains may be weighing us down, but don't we have our brothers and sisters to lift us back up? Of course. Share the weight, pass those chains and get back on the path of intentionality. Always intentional, always seeking the heart & mind of Jesus.
